Energy-Efficient Lighting: We’re retrofitting lighting and lighting controls in all common and service areas to reduce energy use — and looking for ways to help residents save electricity in their own apartment homes too.

Wise Use Of Water: We’re replacing existing showerheads, toilets and sink aerators with low-flow models, and using "smart" controls on outdoor irrigation systems.

"Energy Star" Appliances: We specify replacement appliances that have earned the Energy Star rating by meeting strict guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy.

Earth-Friendlier HVAC: When it’s time to update, we’re replacing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems with energy-efficient equipment.

Ecologically-Minded Printing: We’ve implemented an initiative to print — or reprint — all community and corporate collateral materials on recycled stock using soy-based inks.

From taking advantage of available local recycling initiatives and participating in urban car-share programs to choosing low-emission paints and earth-friendly cleaning supplies, Laramar is committed to ongoing improvements that make our properties ever more environmentally friendly.
