Chicago, IL (June 3, 2016) – The Laramar Group, a national real estate investment and management company, is pleased to announce that its Local by Laramar portfolio website, www.MyLocalApt.com, was named a winner in the 2016 America Web Design Awards.
In 2015, The Laramar Group launched a new brand, Local by Laramar, for its urban portfolio in the Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles markets. This urban portfolio is comprised of small apartment buildings (usually less than 50 units) in desirable neighborhoods close to the downtown core. As part of this brand introduction, Laramar rolled out a dedicated website, www.MyLocalApt.com, partnering with the Upshift Creative Group. The MyLocalApt.com website was recently named a winner in the “2016 American Web Design Awards” by Graphic Design USA magazine.
The website is targeted to Local's core resident demographic -- young professional millennials who desire to live in vibrant, close-in neighborhoods. Building off this neighborhood focus, the MyLocalApt website allows prospective residents to search for apartments by neighborhood within each Local market. Since launching the brand, Local by Laramar has expanded to new markets including Minneapolis, Tampa, and Oakland.
The new MyLocalApt website provides helpful information about each neighborhood including a “Social Hub” page with up-to-the-minute content of local restaurants, events, sports information, and festivals. “We are very pleased to be named a winner in 2016 American Web Design Awards,” said Steve Boyack, Chief Operating Officer of The Laramar Group. “This honor indicates that we are developing relevant tools and content to reach the target demographic of our new Local by Laramar brand.”
